Artist’s Statement
As an artist, I have always found myself split between two disciplines: photography and mixed media drawing, painting, and assemblage . My photographic images reflect the light, forms, and textures in world around me. They have been my eye looking outward. My mixed media work, on the other hand, has been my eye looking inward, reflecting my philosophy and my experience in the landscape of the human condition.
Now with the ease and accessablilty of technology, I find that I am using more photographic imsgery in my mixed media work, and am beginning to alter my photographs with applications that change the literal content of the photographs. As the two paths of my vision merge, I am enjoying the creative journey.
